  • Think first about what you do have, then what you don’t have.
  • Being relaxed where your attacker is strong and being strong where they are weak. 
  • Protected while defending/escaping, controlling the back hand.
  • Forward pressure while moving in circles on all 3 axes.
  • Breaking the grip at its weakest point – where finger and thumb meet.
